SECI, DMRC sign MOU for 500 MW of solar
NEW DELHI .The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) have signed an MOU to deploy 500 MW of solar PV projects over a three year period.
The MOU will see a number of "off site," – i.e. not on DMRC locations – solar PV projects installed in India’s national capital region, including New Delhi, and surrounding urban areas in the neighboring states of Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan.
According to a statement on SECI’s website today, the initial phase will involve the installation of 500 MW of ground-mounted projects over a three year period. While DMRC will enter into relevant long-term PPAs, SECI will both own and operate the projects.pv-magazine.com
