Shri P Chellapandi takes over as Bharatiya Nabhikiya Vidyut Nigam Limited chief

CHENNAI: Senior nuclear scientist P Chellapandi today took over as Chairman & Managing Director of Bharatiya Nabhikiya Vidyut Nigam Limited (BHAVINI) located at the nuclear complex at Kalpakkam, some 70 km near here.

 

"I have taken over as CMD of BHAVINI today. We aim to generate electricity and attach it to the grid within the end of this year," he told.

 

Chellapandi has served for over 38 years in the Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research ( IGCAR), also located at  the nuclear complex.
