Shri Rana S Chakravarty Assumes Charge as Dir. Mkg of HEC

Ranchi: Rana Subhasis Chakravarty has assumed the Charge of Director (Marketing) in Heavy Engineering Corporation Limited, on 17 January 2018. Rana Subhasis Chakravarty has completed his engineering with first class distinction from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra in 1985. Thereafter, he did Master in Business Administration (M.B.A.) with specialization in Marketing from B.I.T., Mesra in 1996. He has done a Diploma in Management from IGNOU, New Delhi and presently, pursuing PhD in Management.
He started his career with Hindustan Motors, Uttarpara in Marketing division. His sheer hard work and dedication was soon recognized and he joined MECON Limited, a Government of India undertaking and an ISO 9001 accredited company wherein he was shouldered with the responsibility of heading the Corporate Infrastructure Division one of the three SBUs of MECON as General Manager. In addition to Infrastructure, he also headed Corporate Communications department of MECON.
He has bagged Depository Jobs from ESIC and Ministry of AYUSH, GoI, in the hospital sector, niche area for MECON and has played the key-role in entering into new areas like airports and smart cities. He has also received Vishweshwaraya Gold Medal from Institution of Engineers for Technical Paper on 'Role of Power Sector (Power Plant Performance Optimization in particular) in achieving Energy Security for India.’ He has presented several technical papers in India and Abroad. 
He is Hony Secretary of Chesire Home, Ranchi-(Home for physically challenged persons). He is Ex-Chairman of All India Mechanical Division Board of The Institution of Engineers, Ex-Hony. Secretary of The Institution of Engineers, Jharkhand State Centre.
An active Member of Indian Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Equipment (ISHRAE), Member of Computer Society of India, Member of Indian Institute of Metals, Member of Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH) and President of Birla Institute of Technology-Old Student’s Association (BITOSA).
