Swachhta Hi Sewa Campaign

New Delhi: The 17th of September had been called upon to be celebrated as ‘Sewa Diwas’ by undertaking voluntary work (shramdaan) as part of ‘Swachhata Hi Sewa’ campaign. 

 

Hon’ble Union MoS (IC) for Power and New & Renewable Energy, Shri R.K. Singh visited the POWERGRID Complex at Manesar and school and village in its vicinity. The Hon’ble Minister accompanied by the Hon’ble MLA Smt. Bimla Chaudhary, Secretary (Power) Shri A.K. Bhalla, CMD POWERGRID Shri I.S. Jha, Jt. Secretary (Transmission) Smt. Bharati, Dy. Commissioner (Gurgaon), Shri V. P. Singh and other officials from MoP, POWERGRID along with villagers offered shramdaan in the Kukrolla village and Govt. Sr. Secondary School, Pachgaon, Manesar. 

 

The Hon’ble Minister administered Swachhta pledge to the school children and village community and appealed to them to make it a part of their habit and life to keep their surroundings neat & clean.  He also laid the foundation for construction of Community toilets and also planted trees for a cleaner environment.  Committing to development of proper drainage system in the village, he also promised for installation of high mast lights, solar street lights and construction of a community centre.
