Two Days Seminar for Asian state Owned Enterprises

Hyderabad: Shri R. Vikraman, Director/HR, NLC India Limited, Neyveli represented the Public Enterprises of India at a 2 day International Seminar conducted on the theme – Responsible Business Conduct in State-owned Enterprises at Hyderabad on 06-07th September, 2018 and delivers a speech there on behalf of Indian Public Sector Enterprises.
 
The Institute of Public Enterprise, a reputed and renowned Educational organization based in Hyderabad along with Korea Institute of Public Finance and Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), a globally renowned organisation with a membership of 36 countires, had jointly organised a 2 day International Seminar on 06-07th September, 2018 on 'Corporate Governance of State-owned Enterprises for the Asia Network.'
 
A total of eight sessions, where State ownership practices in India, SOE reform experiences, Role of the State in enhancing responsible business conduct, Challenges of integrating responsible business conduct into Corporate Governance, Establishing of a legal and regulatory framework, Ethics and Integrity in SOEs, Enhancing Board Governance and Anti-Corruption and Integrity guidelines were discussed by global experts on the subjects.
 
Representatives from a total of 15 countries including India, Korea, Cambodia, Turkey, Thailand, China, Vietnam, Philipines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Bhutan participated and presented their research papers. On the evening of 6th September, 2018, a session on Enhancing responsible business conduct through establishing legal and regulatory frameworks was chaired by Dr. Gambhir Bhatta, Head, Knowledge Sharing & Services Center, Asian Development Bank, Philippines. 
 
During this above session, Shri R. Vikraman, Director/HR, NLC India Limited, Ms. Ya Eem Chea, Head, Securites and Exchange Commission of Cambodia and Dr. Si Kyung Seong, Head of Evaluation Research Team, Korea Insitiute of Public Finance participated and delivered their addresses.  Speaking on the occasion, Shri R. Vikraman made a presentation on Compliance Requirements of State-owned Enterprises and highlighted the Corporate Governance Policies of NLC India Limited.
 
About 300 delegates from Home and abroad participated in the Seminar.
