Arunachal CM meets power grid official on transmission distribution
ITANAGAR. Chief Minister Pema Khandu yesterday reviewed the progress of “Comprehensive Scheme for Strengthening of Transmission & Distribution in Arunachal Pradesh”.
The comprehensive scheme for T&D distribution is being funded by Government of India at an estimated cost of Rs 3200 crore involving Transmission Line of 132 kV Line (33 nos.) – covering about 1917 km, including 33kV Line feeders (70 nos.) covering 1923 km. The scheme also includes 24 new Substations 132/33 kV and 70 new Substations of 33/11 kV. The scheme is likely to be completed by end of the year 2019.
The Power Grid officials apprised the Chief Minister about the progress of the project and sought help in land acquisition, waiver of state levied taxes and duties for the scheme. The meeting also discussed for a possible joint venture between the state government and the corporation. The meeting was attended by Power Minister Shri Tamio Taga, Chief Secretary Shri Shakuntala Gamlin, Commissioner Power , Shri Ashis Kundra, Power Grid officials Shri Ravi P Singh, Shri Abhay Choudhary and Shri T C Sarmah, among others.
