Audyogik Surakhsha Rath in Amlohri NCL
Singrauli: Amlohri coal producing area of NCL welcomed ‘Audyogik Surakhsha Rath’ (Industrial Safety Drive) during the ongoing Annual Mines Safety Week. Adding a whole new dimension to safety commitment of NCL, the drive was stationed at ‘View Point’ of Amlohri mine and trained miners about the occupational health and safety.
In a bid to impart training on worker’s safety at workplace across the country, the drive was flagged off by Minister of Labour and Employment, Shri Santosh Kumar Gangwar from Vigyan Bhawan Delhi on September 2017 as a part of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between Factory Advice Service & Labour Institutes (DGFASLI) working under Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India and 3M India Limited. As one of its kind initiative, the stationing of the drive at Amlohri has added significantly to safety training capabilities of NCL, thereby upholding the industrial safety commitment of the company.
Audyogik Surakhsha Rath (Industrial Safety Drive) is fully equipped mobile training van through which experts demonstrate and train workers on occupational health, safety practices and usage of safety equipment.
Amlohri Area of NCL is organising multiple programmes to raise awareness on the importance of safety. Underscoring the role of job performance, General Manager Amlohri Shri S.K.Gomasta said that working with a sense of belongingness and ownership translates into improved safety performance as well. On this occasion, a ‘Model Code of Practice on Safety’ was also launched digitally through miners were trained comprehensively.
