BK Mishra named Bharat Coking Coal chief
KOLKATA: Shri BK Mishra is slated to take over as chairman and managing director of Coal India subsidiary Bharat Coking Coal.The Public Enterprises Selection Board recommended the candidacy of Mishra last week, according to a notification on its website. Mishra is at present director-technical at Western Coalfields, another CIL subsidiary.
He joined Western Coalfields in May after he was promoted from general manager at South Eastern Coalfields where he headed Deepka Mine - one of Coal India`s largest producing mines.Mishra was selected from a list of 10 candidates, including JP Singh, director-technical at Mahanadi Coalfields, Gunadhar Pandey, director-technical at Northern Coalfields, Subir Chandra, director-technical at Central Coalfields, SK Singh, general manager at BCCL, RK Shrivastava, GM at MCL, and KK Mishra, GM GM at CCL.
Candidates from other public sector companies included CE Kindo, executive director at NMDC, Vivek Gupta, GM of SAIL and GK Singh, HR chief at NHPC. Economic times
