Call For Greater Synergy For Enhanced Air Safety In Indian Aviation
NEW DELHI . The Aeronautical Society of India in association with Flight Safety Foundation USA, DGCA, Indigo and Airworks organized a two day ‘Aviation State Safety Programme’ at New Delhi.
In inaugural session, Shri Ashwini Lohani, CMD, Air India spoke about the safety initiatives taken by industry and especially in Air India. Shri Aditya Ghosh, President, Indigo Airlines emphasized on the need of higher industry-regulator interactions as well. Shri B. S. Bhullar, Addl Secretary MOCA and DG-DGCA, apprised about the new .
Dr. R. K. Tyagi, President-elect AeSi and former Chairman, HAL emphasized the need for higher autonomy to DGCA in administrative and financial functions, strengthening AAIIB (Aircraft Accident/ Incident Investigation Board), and creating better synergy mechanism among airline operators, MOCA and DGCA.
