DFCCIL celebrates its 13th Foundation Day
New Delhi . Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL) celebrated its 13th Foundation Day on 10.11.2018 in Air Force Auditorium Subroto Park, New Delhi. The glittering function was hosted by Shri Anurag Sachan, Managing Director DFCCIL amid the august presence of chief guest Shri Piyush Goyal, Hon’ble Minister of Railways & Coal, and the gracious presence of Shri Ashwani Lohani, Chairman, Railway Board. An array of senior officers from Railway Board, DFCCIL, PSUs, World Bank & JICA, Stakeholders and representatives from Electronic and Print Media attended the event.
Addressing the gathering, Shri Piyush Goyal, Hon’ble Minister of Railways & Coal extolled the rapid strides made by DFCCIL in the recent past and expressed confidence of completion of project within defined time line of March, 2020, he also added that creation of more Dedicated Freight Corridors are on future road map to enhance freight carrying capacity of Indian Railway to higher pedestal.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Ashwani Lohani, Chairman, Railway Board and Chairman DFCCIL, enunciated that consolidation, growth and reforms are the three crucial areas in which Indian Railways are working on. He praised that Dedicated Freight Corridors are ushering in a paradigm change in Indian Railways and asserted that DFCCIL will not only meet but also surpass the targets.
