Dr Ambedkar Jayanti Celebrated in RINL

Ukkunagaram: RINL, the corporate entity of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant joined the Nation in celebrating the 127th Jayanti of Dr BR Ambedkar in Ukkunagaram today.

 

Shri P Madhusudan, CMD, RINL paid rich tributes and garlanded the statue of Bharat Ratna Dr B R Ambedkar on the occasion.

 

Speaking on the occasion, Shri P Madhusudan said that Dr Ambedkar always believed in education as a tool for the liberation of the socially backward from illiteracy, ignorance and superstition. While hailing him as an outstanding leader of the Indian Freedom struggle and champion of down-trodden and backward sections of the society, Shri Madhusudan said that Dr Ambedkar was the principal architect of Indian Constitution. He called upon the employees to demonstrate the skills and teamwork to take the plant to greater heights. 'Let us follow the footprints of this great soul and make the plant and country proud', Shri Madhusudan concluded.

 

Shri KC Das, Director (Personnel), RINL  in his speech recalled the services and contribution of Dr BR Ambedkar to the down-trodden in the society.

 

Shri PC Mohapatra, Director (Projects), Shri P Raychaudhury, Director (Commercial), Shri KC Das, Director (Personnel), Shri VV Venugopal Rao, Director (Finance), Shri PK Rath, Director, (Operations), representatives of SC&ST Welfare Association, SEA, union leaders, WIPS also paid floral tributes to mark the occasion at Ambedkar Park in Ukkunagaram.

 

Shri Tirupathi Rao, Liaison Officer, SC&ST Cell presided over the meeting. Large number of employees and school children participated.
