HAL Spreads Vigilance Awareness Through Public Participation

Bengaluru. Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) concluded Vigilance Awareness Week 2016 that focussed on this year’s CVC theme of ‘public participation in promoting integrity and eradicating corruption’. In his inaugural address Mr. T Suvarna Raju, CMD HAL stressed on the active participation of all stake-holders in strengthening the supply-chain and other existing systems and processes through good governance. He called upon employees to discharge their duty with integrity and honesty. 
 
Mr. B Selva Kumar, IPoS, Chief Vigilance Officer, HAL said, “Fighting corruption is the responsibility of each and every one. Therefore, a systematic approach has been drawn by the CVC to involve all stakeholders including the public. Our focus has been proactive vigilance and timely decision making process.” 
 
The week-long programme consisted of administering the pledge at Divisions/Offices of HAL and programs to reach out to all the stakeholders including schools, colleges and nearby villages. A magazine on vigilance activities of HAL ‘Marg Darshan’ was released at the inaugural programme. An event was also organized at Phoenix Market City, Whitefield (Bengaluru) on vigilance awareness for the general public. The programme comprised of signing citizen pledge, skit, talk on corruption and cultural show.
