IIFCL contributes to the Health Minister’s Cancer Patient Fund HMCPF of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Government of India

New Delhi: India Infrastructure Finance Company limited (IIFCL), a Government of India Enterprise under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative for FY2016-17 has contributed an amount of Rs. 3,51,08,321/- (Rupees three crore, fifty one lakhs, eight thousand, three hundred and twenty one) to the Health Minister’s Cancer patient Fund (HMCPF) of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.
Health Minister’s Cancer Patient Fund (HMCPF) is a sub scheme within Rashtriya Arogya Nidhi (RAN) which provides financial assistance to BPL patients suffering from Cancer. IIFCL contribution to the scheme will be utilized to provide treatment to approximately 700 patients suffering from Cancer and living below the poverty line.
IIFCL is committed to being a responsible company and keeping in view the statutory requirement of spending 2% of the average net profit of the last three years under CSR as stipulated in the Companies Act, 2013, IIFCL has been able to comply with the mandate consecutively for three Financial Years including current FY2016-17.
Further, it is the intention of the Company to carry forward its CSR activities for upgrading social infrastructure in India with a view to cover different sectors and reach out to the deserving sections of the society in a systematic manner
