Indian Police Medal to CVO, POWERGRID Shri Parvez Hayat.
NEW DELHI. Mr. Parvez Hayat, IPS, Chief Vigilance Officer, POWERGRID was bestowed with President Police Medal for Meritorious Service on Independence Day 2013. Mr. Parvez belongs to Jharkhand Cadre of the 1984 batch of the Indian Police Service.
Mr.Parvez was posted as ADG/OSD (Police Mod. & Trg.), Govt. of Jharkhand till he took over as Chief Vigilance Officer, Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd., in 2011. Earlier, Mr.Parvez was ADG, Central Economic Intelligence Bureau and was in charge of FIU/bank scams/pyramid marketing/tax evasion by LTU, and money laundering cell etc.
He has attended a number of Workshops and Seminars during his career, including a workshop on Organized Crimes at Interpole, Leyon, France in 1998. He has also attended a training programme on “Public Sector Management & Governance” at Washington, DC.
