IndianOil Spearheads Major Community Initiatives in Bihar
Barauni Refinery, IndianOil, has initiated several important community initiatives in Bihar. As part of this, Minister of State (I/c) for Petroleum & Natural Gas Mr Dharmendra Pradhan inaugurated the Golden Jubilee Skill Development Centre Dakshata, which has been set up in IndianOil’s Barauni Refinery Township in partnership with CII. The Centre will train about 400 youth in a year in selected trades, creating employment avenues for them.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Dharmendra Pradhan announced setting up of a Nursing School by IndianOil to impart training to young girls in the area, besides giving away scholarships to meritorious girls and boys for pursuing their academic dreams.
Mr B Ashok, Chairman IndianOil, Mr Sandeep Poundrik, Joint Secretary (Refineries) Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Mr Sanjiv Singh, Director (Refineries) IndianOil were present among other dignitaries and political luminaries of the area on this occasion.
