KIOCL Unabated Effort for Swachhta Hi Sewa Campaign
Bengaluru: KIOCL Limited is putting all its efforts in realizing the dreams of “Swachh Bharat” and in the continuance of the same, ‘Swachhta Hi Sewa’ Abhiyan was observed from 15th Sept. 2017 to 2nd Oct. 2017.
At its corporate office, Bengaluru, KIOCL Limited has joined its hands with Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) for cleanliness drive at Siddhartha Nagar in Koramangala area. A special awareness drive was conducted for the vendors of Madiwala market. The residents and children of the Siddhartha Nagar were made aware of the hygienic requirements in their day to day life. Later cleanliness drive was arranged with the participation of KIOCL CMD, Directors and BBMP officials & workers.
At Mangaluru, the school premises of ZPHP, Parade, was cleaned and with the participation of school children, medicinal saplings were planted. Special interactive sessions were held with the ladies of KIOCL Township on cleanliness. Elocution and slogan writing competitions were held at Government Primary School, Marakada.
The special campaign was ended by paying floral tribute to the Mahatma Gandhi’s bust and reiterating the pledge for Clean and Green City. Shri Subba Rao MV, CMD (Addl. Charge) distributed Jute bags and asked everyone to discourage the use of plastic bags. Speaking on the occasion “the special 15-day ‘Swachhta Hi Sewa’ campaign may have ended, but the Mission will continue till the dream of Mahatma is attained” he said.
