MCL Bags National Safety Award
SAMBALPUR: Jagannath Colliery of Jagannath Area received the prestigious National Safety Award for Mines awarded by Ministry of Labour and Employment, Govt of India for consecutive two years 2013 & 2014.
In a function at Vigyan Bhawan, Maulana Azad Road, New Delhi, The Hon’ble President of India Sri Ram Nath Kovind handed over the awards to the winners in presence of Sri Bandaru Dattatreya, Minister of Statefor Labour and Employment (L&E) .
Smt M Sathiyavay, Secretary L&E, Sri. Hiralal Samariya, Dy Secretary L&E and Sri. P K Sarkar, Director General DGMS.Seventy-One awards were selected for Coal, Metal and Oil mines covering both Public and Private sectors of India for both the years 2013 & 2014 for different categories. Jagannath colliery was the only mine selected for the prestigious awards for consecutive two years.
