MCL is committed to conserve mother nature CMD MCL
Sambalpur: Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) is committed to conserve the nature by introducing new technology in mining activities to reduce carbon footprints and spread greenery, said Chairman and Managing Director Mr A K Jha here today.
Addressing employees at the company headquarters after unfurling environment flag,
Mr Jha said ‘’nature has enough for our needs, but not for greed of even a single person’’. ‘’We are in a coal mining business that disturbs the nature, but as we have always been taking a lead by introducing environment-friendly technology in operational activities, like surface miners and ripper dozers etc, and planted over 51 lakh trees to reduce environment pollution, MCL will always be committed to conserve the mother nature’’ the CMD said after administering an oath to all on Environment Day. Director (Technical/Operations) Mr A K Tiwari, Chief Vigilance Officer Mr Deepak Srivastava, IFoS, Director (Technical/P&P) Mr J P Singh, Director (Finance) Mr K K PARIDA, Director (Personnel) Mr L N Mishra, General Managers and Heads of various departments and employees participated in function that culminated with plantation of trees in the company.
