MECON COMPLETES INDIA’S LONGEST 24 NB DIA PIPELINE HDD CROSSING ACROSS THE RIVER GANGA

Jagdishpur: MECON has added yet another feather in its cap by providing EPMC services for successful completion of India’s longest 24” NB diameter Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) across River Ganga near HFC Barauni (Biharfor JHBDPL Project of M/s GAIL (India) Limited on 11th May 2017. 
 
The HDD crossing was gigantic in size and particularly risky due to sandy soil strata. It involved crossing of 24”NB natural gas pipeline of 2317 mtr. long along with 6”NB CS Pipe (for OFC) across River Ganga at an approx. depth of 16.04 m below the lowest bed level (approx. 32.03m below the ground level) as part of the prestigious Jagdishpur – Haldia – Bokaro - Dhamra Pipeline Project (Urja Ganga Project) of M/s GAIL (India) Limited.
