Ministery of Steel Smart India Hackathon 2017 Grand finale
Under the leadership of Hon'ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, Government of India has envisaged the "Digital India Intitiave", which aims to bridge the digitl divide in the country promote digital literacy in order to make development a comprehensive mass movement and put goverance within everyone's in India.
A pan India 36 hour nonstop digital programming competition 'Smart India Hackathon - 2017' is scheduled on 1st & 2nd April, 2017 simulthaneosly at 26 diffrent nodal centers across india. It is a unique opportunity where young minds of india will challenges stduents to think out of the box and offer inovative ideas to build Smart India Hackathon 2017, a platform is being created for harvesting the creativity and energy of the youth directly for development of nation.
Out of 29 participing Ministers/Institutions/Government departments, Ministry of Steel is a 'Premier Partner' in this initative.
Out of total 598 Problems Statements, 31 have been put forward by Ministry of Steel. Out of a total more than 1200 teams working across India on these statements, 54 teams of over 400 participants would be working to provide digital solution to problems relating to steel at the Oriental Univercity Indore.
Smart India hackathon 2017 will provide a unique opportunity to the students to be exposed to the steel Industry and its challenges to provide real time solution through thier technological skills.
