Mr B.V. Rama Gopal Urges IOCians to Reduce Energy Footprints
New Delhi: Mr B V Rama Gopal, Executive Director (Refineries HQ),flagged-off the month-long oil and gas conservation mass awareness campaign Sanrakshan Kshamata Mahotsav or SAKSHAM-2018, at Refineries Headquarters. In his address he spoke about the huge gap between the demand and supply of oil and gas in the country, making conservation essential. By the year 2022, India plans to reduce 10% of its energy imports and to achieve this aim, ‘energy saved is energy produced’ should be the motto’. Individual efforts by one and all are needed to safeguard precious energy reserves, he added.
Mr S M Vaidya, ED (Operations), RHQ, made a strong pitch for creating a culture of conserving energy at the individual, organisational and social level, and called for the commitment by everyone to achieve the intended targets of energy conservation.
