MRPL signs MoU with Pilikula Nisarga Dhama
Mangaluru: Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Dr. Shivarama Karantha Pilikula Nisarga Dhama, Vamanjoor, Mangaluru to take up the greenbelt development Stage-2 in 30 acres of land in Pilikula biological park, Mangaluru.
Shri M Vinaykumar, GGM ( I/c Refinary,TS & MO), MRPL and Shri V. Prasanna, Project Director (DUDC) & Executive Director of Pilikula Nisarga Dhama and Shri Jayaprakash Bhandary Director, Pilikula Nisarga Dhama signed the MOU in MRPL on 6-9-2017. Shri K.Devadasa Shenoy GGM(I/c Operations), MRPL and Shri Sanjay Verma GGM (HSE&ISO), MRPL were present on the occasion.
As per the MOU, MRPL shall be funding the project and Pilikula society shall develop 30 acres with plantation of different plants from Western Ghat species and also maintain the same for a period of three years.
It may be recalled that, last year MRPL had funded development of green belt in 20 acres of land in Dr. Shivarama Karantha Pilikula Nisarga Dhama, Vamanjoor, in which plantation of 2000 western ghat species has been already completed
