National Workshop on Safety Management of Mining Machinery Concludes With A Pledge on Safety
Ranchi: A two-day national workshop on 'Safety Management of Mining Machinery' came to conclusion with safety issues being dwelt at length during the 12 papers which were presented during the day.
There were elaborate case studies and presentations followed by interaction on major topics during the two days deliberations as:-
1. Improvement in safety through innovative solution as applicable to mining operations and equipments being used.
2. Innovative initiatives to enhance safety, productivity& environmental performance as practised in various coal, iron ore, bauxite and other mines.
3. New Technologies in Mining Machinery for improving safety.
4. Noise mapping and its reduction/elimination during operations and transportation.
5. Safety management and systems followed in the mining and mine related industries with special emphasis on the emerging technologies in electrical, electronics, mechanical, communication and other fields.
6. Condition monitoring of underground mines.
The topics dwelt with were eye-openers, application-oriented with elaborations on the engineering control systems for ensuring cent-per-cent safety.
The concluding programme ended with a pledge on safety by all the participants PAN India.
