NHPC signs MoU West Bengal , WBSEDCL

NEW DELHI. Mrs Saswati Banerjee , Additional Secretary, Power , West Bengal and NES, Mr Debidas Datta, Director (Generation) WBSEDCL and Mr A K Sarkar, ED (Planning), NHPC signing MoU in the presence of Mr Gopal Krishna, Additional Chief Secretary,  Power and NES, Govt of West Bengal, Mr N S Nigam , CMD, WBSEDCL, Mr S R Roy, ED (Region Siliguri), NHPC and senior officers of Govt of West Bengal, WBSEDCL and NHPC for development of four hydro projects with total capacity of 293 mw in Teesta Basin. These projects are 80 mw Teesta Low Dam-V, 81 mw Teesta Low Dam I & II combined, 84 mw Teesta Intermediate Stage, and 48 Rammam Stage-I all located in District Darjeeling of West Bengal. These projects shall be developed on Build, Own, Operate and Maintain (BOOM) basis by NHPC.
