NLC India Limited Celebrates its 61st Raising Day as Gratitude Day
Neyveli: NLC India Limited celebrates its 61st Raising Day as Gratitude Day on May 20th May 1957, the day NLC’s mining operations were commenced by the then Prime Minister of India, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. amidst the usual pomp and glare with festivity and enthusiasm by recalling historical occasion,
Dr. Sarat Kumar Acharya, CMD, NLC IL the President of the occasion commenced the celebration by hoisting the NLCIL flag in the presence of the former CMD of NLC, Shri M.P Narayanan, at the lawns of Lignite Hall, Block-11, Neyveli on May 20 , 2017 .
To mark the occasion NLCIL honoured 10 oldest retired employees who served organization in early stage with Memento. 12 employees were honoured with “Exemplary Award” which is a special acknowledgment for exceptional contribution in their work field in grave situations.
To recognize employees for scintillating performance of the organization in Power Generation & Mining for the financial year 2016-17, a special gift for all employees announced by CMD and formally 10 Employees and 10 Contract employees were presented with a special gift.
Dr. S.K Acharya congratulated all the present and past employees for their untiring efforts in developing organization strength to strength.
The former CMD of NLC Dr. M.P Narayanan, the Guest of Honor in his felicitations, recalled his tenure. He praised various CSR initiatives of the organization especially for desilting of various ponds in peripheral villages for Water Management to address water crisis of villagers and Domestic animals. As a token of love in the name of his sister Dr Narayanan announced ?1Lakh sponsorship as Corpusfund for Sneha Opportunity Services.
Functional Directors, Shri Subir Das, Shri V.Thangapandian, Shri.P Selvakumar and Shri R.Vikraman extended their felicitations by presenting saga of NLCIL growth Story with past ,present and future Scenario.
Also Dr. M. P Narayanan inaugurated ‘Sarvana Theerdam’ a redeveloped pond with in a area of 2 Acres at a cost of Rs 30 Lakhs at VilludayanPattu Temple at Neyveli . Also a R O water plant with a capcity of 1000 Ltr Per Hour was inaugurated at premises of Villudiyan Pattu Temple .
To mark the occasion CMD, NLCIL launched Contract Labor Management System (CLMS) Web Portal as part of Digital India Programme for the benefit of contractors and workers to easily access their Bills Status, Wages Bills, Contributions, PF,EPF,ESI etc..
