NMDC Chairman awarded Tata Gold Medal
Hyderabad. Narendra Kothari, CMD of the state-owned iron ore mining major NMDC, has been awarded the Tata Gold Medal by the Indian Institute of Metals for 2015 at Coimbatore at the recently held National Metallurgists’ Day and Annual Technical Meet 2015.
Kothari received the award from S S Mohanty, President of the Indian Institute of Metals. The award was bestowed on Kothari in recognition of his "outstanding contribution towards improving the efficiency of production processes and overall streamlining of activities leading towards improved efficiency and performance``, according to a statement.
The Tata Gold Medal of The Indian Institute of Metals is given annually to honour a distinguished personality connected with metallurgical industries, responsible for taking decisions of far reaching consequence and has contributed significantly to the development of metallurgy in the country.
