NRDC licences Anti diabetic Drug
New Delhi: A License Agreement for commercialization of Ayush-82, an ayurvedic formulation for prevention and management of Diabetes developed by Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), New Delhi, apex organization for research in Ayurveda in India under the Ministry of AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy), Govt. of India was signed and exchanged between Dr. H. Purushotham Chairman & Managing Director, National Research Development Corporation, an Enterprise of the Department of Scientific & Industrial Research, Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India, New Delhi (NRDC) and Shri Sanjay Kumar Garg, Propritor of M/s Herbal Ayurveda and Reserch Centre, Faridabad at NRDC in presence of Dr. Girish Sahni, DG, CSIR and Secretary DSIR. S/Shri Ashwani Gupta and B.N. Sarkar, Scientist `G’, DSIR and Senior officers of NRDC were also present during the event. Dr. H. Purushotham said that patients prefer off late Ayurvedic drugs as it can be seen that till date NRDC licensed this technology to 12 companies in India.
