NRDC Licensed ROV Technology to Laursen and Toubro Defence

Hyderabad: National Research Development Corporation, licensed a technology for 'Unmanned Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV)' developed by National Institute of Ocean Technology, Ministry of Earth Sciences, Chennai to M/s Laursen and Toubro, Mumbai during Earth System Science Organization meeting at Hyderabad on 27th April 2018. 
Dr. H. Purushotham, Chairman & Managing Director, NRDC, Dr. M.A. Atmanand-Director-NIOT and Mr. S. Ranganathan-Vice President-M/s. L&T, signed and exchanged the tripartite Technology License Agreements. Dr. M.Rajeevan-Secretary-Ministry of Earth Sciences, Directors and senior functionaries of the ESSO organization institutes and other senior officials of M/s. L&T were also present in the event and witnessed the TLA exchange of the ROV Technology. 
L&T Defence, an arm of L&T will manufacture and commercialize the”Unmanned Remotely Operated Vehicle” (ROV) that can scan the sea surface in both shallow and deep waters. The ROVs are useful in obtaining images and data from the under-sea that find wide applications in both civilian and navel fields.
