NRDC Para-Pheromone Fruit Fly Trap Technology bagged the National Technology Award.
NEW DELHI . Dr.Harsh Vardhan, Union Minister for Science & Technology and Earth Sciences, Government of India gave away the national award to Dr.Abraham Verghese, Dr.P.D.Kamala Jayanthi and Dr.T.N.Shivananda, Scientists from the ICAR-Indian Institute of Horticultural Research, Bengaluru who developed the cost effective, eco-friendly pheromone trap for effective monitoring of fruit flies belonging to Bactrocera spp. for use in horticultural crops.
