NTPC girl vies for beauty crown
Karimnagar: A diploma holder in fashion technology from a private institute in Hyderabad and NTPC-based RRaxshmi Thakur is among the four of the 16 contestants chosen from four states, as part of Miss South Indian beauty pageant held by Unique Time, in collaboration with Manappuram Gold.
She is now focusing on participating in Miss India-2014 beauty pageants to be held later this year. She will have an opportunity to participate in Miss India pageant 2014 to be held in February, if she stands among the three positions, during the 11th edition of Miss South India held at Le Meridien in Coimbatture of Tamil Nadu on January 18.
The elder daughter of Thakur Bhagat Singh, a businessman from NTPC Township in Godava-rikhani, secured the forth place after completion four rounds, as part of the pageants. “It feels really great to be among the top 16. I always wanted to prove myself in fashion industry,” she says, thanking her family members and faculty of the fashion institute for their support in fulfilling her ambition. Deccanchronicle
