NTPC ITI goes on stream in Chhattisgarh
KORBA. Dr Raman Singh, Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh inaugurated the newly-built Industrial Training Institute (ITI) at a ceremony in Korba last evening. Built over an area of 10 acres at Chorbhati village near Korba in the vicinity of the NTPC power station, the ITI is all set to start the sessions
from this academic calendar. ITI has been constructed as part of Community Development initiatives of NTPC.
The ITI had been set up by the company in the vicinity of the NTPC Korba power station. Built over an area of 10 acres at Chorbhati village near Korba, the company took up the project as part of Community Development initiatives.
An estimated Rs 10 crore has been invested in the project for skill development. Courses and initially five trades- Wielder, Fitter, Instrumentation & Mechanics, Electrician and Computer Operator & Programming Assistant (COPA) are part of the curriculum.
The Chief Minister also visited the campus and interacted with the stake-holders of the new ITI on this
occasion. Leading dignitaries of Korba Region, officials of the Chhattisgarh State Govt,, Distt. Administration and NTPC were present on the occasion.
