NTPC Q2 net jumps 40 percent to Rs.2,898 crore
New Delhi. NTPC on Thursday posted a 40 percent increase in net profit at Rs.2,898.28 crore for the second quarter ended September, on the back of higher power generation.
The company has posted a net profit of Rs.2898.28 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2015 NTPC said in a stock exchange filing.
The company`s total income increased to Rs.18,173.9 crore in the quarter in question, from Rs.17,267.32 crore in the corresponding period of the last fiscal.
NTPC`s revenues from power generation during the second quarter increased to Rs.17,950.28 crore, The unaudited total income was Rs.35,497.20 crore during April-September.
The unaudited net profit was up 18 percent at Rs.5,033.63 crore in the April-September period this fiscal.
