Orgs condemns brutal attack on NHPC official demands immediate arrest of attackers
ITANAGAR, Nov 16: The Bengia Welfare Society (BWS) has taken serious note of the brutal attack on one of its clan members, Er Bengia Guma, Deputy Manager, NHPC Ltd, Dibang Hydro-Project, by some local youths at Roing on Tuesday night. Family sources informed that the victim was attacked and assaulted in his official residence, that too in front of his wife and children, without any provocation.
The victim sustained grievous injuries on his head, neck and back. The prima-facie circumstances like entering in the residence at night hours with masked faces, group assault, armed with lethal weapons like iron rod, hockey sticks and stone which manifest the clear case of attempt to murder, the BWS stated.
The brutal nature of crime suggests that it was a pre-meditated cold blooded attack not on the victim alone but clan member in particular clan with malicious intent to disturb peaceful environment. The BWS strongly condemned the barbaric and unprovoked attack on Er. Bengia Guma and urged upon the law enforcing authorities to do justice to the victim by apprehending the perpetrators of the crime within 7(seven) days and unearth the truth behind the attack.
The society further warned of dare consequences if attackers are not arrested within 7 days. The BWS also appealed everyone to maintain calm and cooperate with law enforcing authorities. Arunachaltimes
