PM Narendra Modi Inaugurates NBCC Constructed CIC Headquarter

NEW DELHI: Shri Narendra Modi, Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, dedicated the new headquarter of Central Information Commission, built by state-owned Navratna NBCC LIMITED, to the nation. 
 
Shri Jitendra Singh, Minister for Development of North Eastern Region; Shri Radha Krishna Mathur, Chief Information Commissioner; and Dr. Anoop Kumar Mittal, CMD, NBCC and others dignitaries were present there. 
 
'This complex is yet again a shining example of the expertise and technological prowess of NBCC,' NBCC Chairman-cum-Managing Director, Dr. Anoop Kumar Mittal said here after the inauguration, adding that the construction was done in a record time of just 25 months. 
 
'We are proud to have been able to complete the project five months ahead of schedule. Timely delivery and use of innovative technologies have become a hallmark for NBCC that has enabled us to successfully execute a spectrum of civil engineering projects from Concept to Commissioning to Maintenance,' Dr. Mittal added. 
 
Located at the old JNU campus in the national capital, the complex has been conceptualized to house all CIC offices under a single roof. Presently, CIC is spread over two locations, one at old JNU campus and other at Bhikaji Cama Place.
 
The four storey state-of-the-art building is energy efficient and adheres to the GRIHA 4-Star Rating. The new CIC complex is fully equipped with fire-fighting systems, alarm systems, energy efficient VRV system, Occupancy Sensors, CCTV Surveillance System, Building Management System, Power Back-up and Data & Voice System.
