POWER GRID 27th AGM held
NEW DELHI . The 27th AGM of POWERGRID was held on 16th September, 2016 at Delhi. During his address to the Shareholders, CMD SHri I. S. Jha informed that the Gross Fixed Assets has surpassed Rs.1,50,000 crore. Total Revenue of Rs.21,281 crore has risen about 20% YoY and Profit after Tax has grown 21 % to Rs.6027 crore.
During the year POWERGRID has achieved the highest ever capitalization of Rs. 31,788 crores. Inter-Regional power transfer capacity has seen the highest ever addition of 13,200 MW Further, CMD informed the stakeholders that the first ever 800 kV HVDC line of
the country, 1750 km long Biswanath Chariali – Agra transmission line was commissioned this year. 400kV line International links with Bangladesh and Nepal were made operational this year. World’s highest voltage level 1200 kV
