POWERGRID observes Vigilance Awareness Week

New Delhi.  Vigilance Awareness Week is being observed from 26th to 31st  October, 2015 at all the establishments of POWERGRID. The week long awareness program was started with the administration of pledge by CMD, Shri I. S. Jha in the presence of Directors, CVO and all employees of Corporate office.

 

A discourse by Shri Balwinder Singh, former Special Director, CBI was organized in which all establishments were connected over video conferencing. In his address Shri Singh talked about ill  effects of cartelization amongst the vendors and enumerated the efforts initiated by the CVC to minimize corruption by leveraging of technology.

 

 The in-house Journal of Vigilance Department ‘Candour’ was  also released on this occasion. A number of activities like quiz program, essay competition, debate competitions at inter-  school and inter – college level are being organised.
