POWERGRID to Construct Transmission Line in Nepal
New Delhi: Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, to construct 400kV D/C Transmission Line from Arun 3 Hydro Project in Nepal to Bathnaha (Nepal India Border) with estimated project cost at Rs. 1000 Crore. SJVNL Arun-3 Power Development Company Pvt. Ltd. has assigned POWERGRID to construct transmission system for evacuation of power from Arun-3 HEP being constructed by them in Nepal.
Apart from above, POWERGRID is already executing six consultancy assignments in Nepal, underfunding by various multilateral agencies i.e. World Bank, ADB and Kfw with the estimated project cost Rs 6000 Crore.
