PROJECT WORKSHOP and STORE IN KHADIA AREA
New Delhi: Aimed at enhancing repair and maintenance facilities of on-site machineries, Khadia Area of Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL) has constructed a new 'Project Workshop & Store' facility at the area. The newly constructed complex was inaugurated by Chief Guest, Chairman-cum-Managing Director(CMD), Northern Coalfields Limited(NCL), Shri.Tapas Kumar Nag on Saturday. On this occasion, Director (Personnel), Ms. Shantilata Sahu, Director (Technical/Operations), Shri Gunadhar Pandey, Director (Finance), Shri P. S.R.K. Sastry, Director (Technical/Project and Planning), Shri J. L. Singh were present as guests of honour.
The workshop which is built with a total cost of Rupees 44.05 crores has 5 EOT cranes at various repair shops, fire-fighting system, plant cleaning system, pressurized lubrication system, demineralization systems, washing system and ventilation system. The project which commenced on May 5th 2017 was scheduled to complete on May 4th, 2018; but Team Khadia with their concerted efforts accomplished the completion on September 15, 2017.
CMD, NCL, Shri T.K.Nag congratulated Team Khadia for completing the project ahead of the schedule. Shri Nag also appreciated close-knitted location of HEMM Workshop, E&M workshop and Stores which would facilitate seamless maintenance and cleaning works of Heavy Earth Moving Machineries (HEMM).
In next sequence of events, CMD, NCL Shri.T.K.Nag inaugurated newly constructed CISF barracks at Amlohri Area and praised the working of Central Industrial Security Force. He also said that NCL management is keen on deploying CISF personnel in all the coal producing areas and service units of NCL.
The programme at Amlohri Area was organised under the supervision of the Area General Manager, Shri.S.K.Jha whereas the event at Khadia Area was led by Area General Manager, Shri.A.N.Pandey. Both the events were attended by Area General Managers of all the areas of NCL, General Managers and Departmental Heads of NCL Headquarters, officer's association representatives, trade union representatives and a good number of employees from across the company.
