Rashtriya Ekta Diwas celebrated in Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited

New Delhi: ‘Run for Unity’, an in house run was organized by Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL) today as part of the many events planned to commemorate Rashtriya Ekta Diwas. The National Unity Day is celebrated to mark the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhai Patel. The event saw overwhelming participation from employees across MDL with over 400 MDL personnel participating in the run. The run was flagged off by Cmde Rakesh Anand, Chairman and Managing Director, MDL.

 

Cmde Rakesh Anand, while addressing the gathering said that this particular day re-affirms the inherent strength and resilience of our nation to withstand the actual and potential threats to the unity, integrity and security of our country.

To mark the day, ‘Rashtriya Ekta Oath’ was administered by CMD which was followed by various activities including skit by ATS students, screening of movie ‘Sardar’, conducting competitions like essay writing, drawing and quiz. A March Past was also presented by the CISF jawans.
