REC felicitated for commendable work under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan

New Delhi. Shri Rajeev Sharma , CMD, REC and his team were felicitated by Piyush Goyal,  Union Minister of State (I/C) for Power, Coal and New & Renewable Energy felicitated REC for the commendable work done under the Swacch Bharat Abhiyan for construction of Toilets in Schools within the given timeframe. The other senior officers from REC, who were felicitated on stage were, Ajeet Agarwal, Director (Finance), Dr.Dinesh Arora, Executive Director, R.K.Arora, Ex-Executive Director and C.P.Bhatia, General Manager. REC constructed a total of 12,379 against a target of 11,072 Toilets in the states of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar,Telangana, Rajasthan and Punjab within 1 year.

 

All officers of REC who were associated at the ground level implementation of the Swacch Bharat Abhiyan were also present at the event. In his address to the gathering the  Power  Minister lauded the relentless and tireless efforts of the officials of REC which led to successful and timely completion of construction of 12,379 toilets in schools across the country in the short span of one year.
