RSP institutes Shree Shakti award to promote women SHGs
Rourkela . In order to recognise and motivate Women's Self Help Groups (SHGs) operating in its peripheral areas, Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) has instituted Shree Shakti, a scheme to recognise outstanding SHGs.
Under this scheme, taken up as a part of RSP's CSR initiative, the best Self Help Group will receive a cash award of Rs 50,000 along with a Trophy and Citation. Any Women's SHGs functioning in the model steel villages adopted by RSP, resettlement colonies/camps of RSP and villages in the adjoining blocks of Rourkela -- Bisra, Nuagaon, Kuarmunda, Lathikata and Rajgangpur Blocks -- are eligible to participate in the scheme, it said.
The second prize comprises a Cash Award of Rs 30,000/- along with a Trophy and Citation. There will be maximum four consolation prizes of Rs 5,000 each, RSP said in a release.
