SAIL efforts to cut down production cost lauded
RANCHI.SAIL collectively need to continually strive for betterment in all performance parameters in line with the international benchmarks, said Union Steel Minister Chaudhary Birender Singh. “The efforts being undertaken in SAIL plants including BSL for bringing down the cost of production is commendable but to stay competitive”, he added.
Minister also underlined the importance of increased focus on R&D and innovation in SAIL so as to fully tap the potential of the steel market. He lauded the sense of belongingness and commitment among SAIL employees and termed it unique in its own way.
Singh was talking to the media persons at Bokaro during his maiden visit tothe steel city. He was accompanied by Prem Lata Singh, MLA Uchana Kalan, Jind (Haryana), PS to MoS Prerna Puri, Joint Secretary (Ministry of Steel) Sunil
Barthwal and SAIL Chairman PK Singh.
