SCOPE to hold International Conference on Corporate Governance

NEW DELHI: SCOPE is organizing two-day International Conference on Corporate Governance under the aegis of “SCOPE Centre for Excellence in Corporate Governance”. The origin of the Centre is outcome of study commissioned by SCOPE in 1997 and the Charter released by the then Vice President of India in 2002. Subsequently, an annual conference of chief executives of public sector enterprises with the theme “Corporate Governance” had been organized in 2004 which was addressed by the then Prime Minister of India. 

Accordingly, SCOPE has revived the Centre and shall be holding two-day International Conference shortly when representatives of public sector enterprises, academicians, professionals, researchers from India and abroad shall be participating. A Steering Committee has already been formed from public sector enterprises to steer the entire show.
