Shri Jagannath Mahotsav begins at NALCO Township
Angul: As part of the annual festival of Shri Jagannath Temple at Nalco Township in Angul, a 6-day long Shri Jaganath Mohatsav is being organized from 25th March. Gajapati Maharaja Dibyasingha Deb inaugurated the ceremony while Dr. Tapan Kumar Chand, CMD, NALCO, graced the ceremony as the Chief Guest.
Organised by Nalconagar Temple Committee, Angul, in association with Shree Jagannath Sanskruti Parishad, seers from across the state and a large gathering of followers of Lord Jagannath are joining in the celebrations.
Gajapati Maharaja Dibyasingha Deb in his speech emphasized on spiritual growth, along with material achievement for lasting peace and happiness while Dr. Chand elaborated on the importance of Lord Jagannath culture and its focus on upliftment of downtrodden and social welfare at large. NALCO, he said, is inspired by the inclusive growth and social welfare, the basic tenets of Jagannath culture, and is taking up welfare and CSR activities for the good of the people. That is what helps NALCO in achieving its present success, added Dr. Chand.
Swami Madhabananda Saraswati Maharaj, Acharya Chinmaya Mission, Ranchi is conducting the program as the Chief Speaker. Shri Gopinath Mohanty, President and Shri Pitabas Routray, Vice-president of Jagannath Sanskruti Parishad were also present. Mahanta Ramakrishna Das Maharaj of Radhaballava Matha, Puri, Shri Rajkishore Mishra, ED (S&P), NALCO and Shri Manasa Prasad Mishra, GM(Smelter) were present on the occasion as guests of honour.
