State Rank Table Tennis Tournament Concluded at Neyveli
Neyveli: Tamilnadu State Ranking Table Tennis Tournament for selection of State Players concluded on 13.08.2017 at Neyveli Lignite City Club, Neyveli. Dr. Sarat Kumar Acharya, CMD/NLC India Limited, distributed the prizes to the winners.
The 5th State Ranking Table Tennis Tournament was conducted by Neyveli Lignite City Club, Neyveli from 11.08.2017 to 13.08.2017. This tournament was jointly organized by NLC India Sports Development Centre in coalition with Cuddalore District Table Tennis Association. It was conducted in 12 categories of different age groups, consisting of Boys & Girls and Men & Women. 585 sports personnel including 175 Girls/Women participated in this tournament. It includes the 75 sports personnel of Neyveli Lignite City Club Table Tennis Team.
Shri Sushmit Sriram of MVM Team, Chennai bagged first among men; whereas, Kum. N. Vidhya, Income Tax Department Team, Chennai bagged first among women category. Dr. Sarat Kumar Acharya distributed prizes and Trophies among the winners. The cash prize of Rs.91,300/- were distributed among the First, Second Prize Winners alongwith the sports personnel, who entered into the Quarter-Final and Semi-final, as well.
Sri Subir Das, Director/Mines, Mr.S.A.F. Khalid, ED/Mines & President, Neyveli Lignite City Club, Dr. Kannadasan, CGM/Geology of NLC India Limited participated in the valedictory function. Dr.T.V. Sundar, Patron, Tamilnadu Table Tennis Association, Coaches of Neyveli Team, Members of Neyveli Lignite City Club participated in the function.
