Tripartite MoU signed amongst AAI, NSDF, NSDC
NEW DELHI. A tripartite MoU was signed amongst Airports Authority of India, National Skill Development Fund and National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) recently at Hotel Taj Mansingh, New Delhi in presence of Shri P Ashok Gajapati Raju, Union Minister of Civil Aviation, Shri Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Union Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship , Shri Rajiv Nayan Choubey, Secretary, MOCA and Sr. Officers from MSDE, as also, representatives from various airline industries, government organizations apart from media.
Shri A K Dutta, Member (ANS)/OPS), AAI, on behalf of AAI,Shri Jayant Krishna, CEO, NSDC and Shri Rajesh Agrawal, Jt. Secretary, MSDE, GOI had signed the MoU. Under the MoU, AAI shall provide fund of Rs.525.00 lakhs for a period of three years starting from the year 2016-17.
Further, AAI will also sponsor such affected persons, whose land has been acquired for AAI project, for skill development training in the identified areas for livelihood.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Hon’ble Minister of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship appreciated the initiative of AAI and expressed hope that such initiative will be followed by other Ministries also. Addressing the house, Hon’ble Minister of Civil Aviation Shri P Ashok Gajapati Rajualso expressed pleasure for signing the MoU to impart for skill training to the youth which will meet the requirement of skilled force in various sectors.
