Vendors meet at BHEL, focus on quality, delivery
Haridwar. A vendor meet was organised today at Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, Ranipur, where numerous related issues was discussed.
The main focus during the meet was on quality and time-bound delivery of components used in manufacture of turbines.More than 40 vendors, dealers and manufacturing unit representatives took part in the vendor meet.
Presiding over the meet, BHEL Executive Director Shri Prakash Chand cautioned the delegates about the current gloomy business scenario prevailing in the power industry. Chand said this has resulted in shrinking of orders, which has paved way for a cut-throat competition to bag orders, which is not a good sign for the industry. The Tribune
