Workshop for Implementation of Grid Connected Rooftop Solar

New Delhi: Shri A. K. Jain, MD, Rajasthan Electronics Instruments Ltd  (REIL) inaugurated workshop with the lightening of the lamp in the presence of officials of its allocated 10 ministries & selected developers for MNRE’s achievement linked incentive scheme on 10th January 2019, Scope Convention Centre, Lodhi Road, New Delhi. Shri Piyush Paliwal, ED, REIL welcomed officials from the allocated ministries & their attached officials, MNRE and developers. The workshop received overwhelms response by way of participation of nearly 60 personnel from these offices. Shri J. K. Jethani, Director, MNRE also joined a special invitee.
 
Shri Jain apprised the REIL working as expert CPSE and PMC has already completed RTS projects of 16 MW in CAPEX model mainly under the Ministry of Coal and Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gases. Notification of Awards (NoAs) has been released for MNRE’s sanctioned RTS projects 42 MW under RESCO model to the selected bidder finalized through reverse bidding
 
The workshop addressed challenges in the implementation of Grid Connected RTS projects by way of the interactive session and fruitful discussions amongst stakeholders to expedite & complete the projects in the given timeline of MNRE. The issues highlighted by different stakeholders were deliberated in length and were resolved to the maximum extent subjected to the guidelines of MNRE and to adhere to project completion deadline. The present officials from ministries agreed to take immediate steps to get PPAs signed on priority.  
 
Shri Jethani thanked REIL for the initiative taken to organize such workshop and gathering all stakeholders to overcome the doubts/clarifications and move ahead for the immediate signing of PPA. This will help REIL team for completion of the projects within the time frame of the scheme guidelines. He asked the officials to get the benefit of the ongoing scheme. He also assured support in terms of guidance & assistance from MNRE for ongoing & future projects to REIL.
