ED Special Director Satyabrata Kumar’s tenure curtailed, repatriated to parent cadre
The specified tenure was supposed to be up to 27 October 2026 as Special Director in the Directorate of Enforcement.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has curtailed the tenure of Satyabrata Kumar (IRS C&IT: 2004) as proposed by the Department of Revenue to repatriated him to his parent Cadre i.e. CBIC with approx. seventeen months ahead of the specified tenure in ED.
The specified tenure was supposed to be up to 27 October 2026 as Special Director in the Directorate of Enforcement.
While working as Special Director (in-charge) of the Western Region he was moved to Eastern Region (Kolkata) ahead of Maharashtra Elections and during the working tenure of Additional Director he was appointed as Special Directors in 20.12.2022 in the Directorate of Enforcement for a period ending 27.10.2026.
