Western Coalfields provides advanced medical equipment to Regional Mental Hospital under CSR
Western Coalfields Limited Director (Personnel) Dr. H.S. Pandey inaugurated the advanced medical equipment provided under CSR at the Regional Mental Hospital.

New Delhi: Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) has provided advanced medical equipment to the Regional Mental Hospital under its CSR initiative with financial support of Rs. 68 lakhs. Today, on 11th February 2025, these equipments were inaugurated by WCL Director (Personnel) Dr. H. S. Pandey. He said on this occasion that WCL plays its part in socially oriented works under CSR. He expressed hope that the advanced equipment of the Regional Mental Hospital will bring a positive change in the lives of the patients.
These equipment include CBC machine, monitor, wheel-chair etc. as well as RTMS (Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) machine, which provides non-invasive treatment to mental health patients. With the help of these equipment, the Regional Mental Hospital will be able to provide state-of-the-art treatment to the patients, due to which the hospital will now be able to receive an additional amount of Rs 11,000 per patient under the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Jan Arogya Yojana of the Government of Maharashtra. This will improve the financial condition of the hospital and expand health services.

The inaugural ceremony was graced by the presence of Shri Satish Humane, Medical Superintendent, Regional Mental Hospital and Shri A.K. Singh, General Manager (CSR/Welfare), WCL.
It is known that the Regional Mental Hospital located in Nagpur has been providing medical services to the patients of Vidarbha , Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh region for more than 120 years.
